“You Are Valuable!” – Programme for Creating Values
Right at the beginning during the opening conference of the
„ÉrtékVagy!” („You Are Valuable!”) Programme it became clear that Our Cause unites economic responsibility and solidarity.
Strengthening the employment of persons with changed working capacities is equally important for multinational corporate giants, for state actors and for the Hungarian family-owned small businesses. The employment of persons with changed working capacities holds economic and moral values and interest. Furthermore it is both rational business decision and responsibility that builds stronger community.
We believe that compassion alone should not be the foundation of social responsibility or Care Policies but it ought to be built upon the objective to provide the most adequate opportunities for our fellow citizen with disabilities or with changed working capacities so they can live their lives to the fullest in dignity, with the highest level of independence and autonomy. The key to such independence is work. If work is accessible, everything is possible. The very purpose of the
„You Are Valuable!” Programme is to bring together the expertise and the resources of the private and the public sector on a collaborative platform.
Last year, our opening conference at “Várkert Bazár”, where we laid the foundation of the new, collaborative platform involving all essential disability employers, was a huge success. We have shifted the focus from simply compassion to the importance of value creation.
More and more people believe that the employment of persons with changed working capacities is not so much about compassion, but it is a rational business decision that is closely linked to solidarity-based responsibility. In preparation for our last-year conference we conducted a research that confirmed the presumption. Evidently, disability employers are more satisfied with employees with changed working capacities than with the rest of their employees. One of the reasons for this is the outstanding loyalty persons with changed working capacities show towards their employers and the economic worth that loyalty represents. Additionally, people working for disability employers display a more open, tolerant attitude.
Since last year, numerous disability employers have come aboard to strengthen the collaboration and to assist in increasing the employment rate of persons with changed working capacities, so we would like to take stock, look ahead and form the future with our second
“You Are Valuable!” conference!
On January 27, at “The Bálna Budapest” in the framework of a spectacular, interactive conference and show, we will draw conclusions on recent achievements, we will exchange experience, we will show best practice and propose future directions, but most of all we will enjoy the time we spend together
(#csakegyütt).
On the conference stage eye-catching productions, inspiring presentations, constructive discussions and heart-warming conversations will be presented. You can taste and touch the products manufactured by disability employers in Hungary and eventually understand why these products are of international quality.
We kindly urge You to be part of Our Cause and take part in one of the crucially important summits of economic value creation in Hungary, because
